2 madium size stalks bhee ( lotus stem)
4 small onions grated
1 teaspoon garlic ground
5 Black pepper corns
Green chillies to taste
1 tsp ginger grated
2 Big cardamoms
2 tomotos grated
2 cloves healthy
1 small stick cinnamon
1 tsp coriander chopped
0.50 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp dhania powder (coriander

0.50 tsp turmeric powder
0.50 tsp jeera powder (cumin)
1 cup water
2 tsp ghee or oil
salt to taste
1 potato (Optional)

Bhee The Special Dish of Jhang


Clean the bhee (lotus roots) very well in the clean water and remove the soil around the bhee. After clean dry it. Peel the bhee and slice into 1 inch size slices.

Boil these slices in the turmeric and salt mix water till tender. When became tender drain from the water and keep the silices aside.

Put the ghee in the pan put the pan on the flam. When the ghee become hot put all the spices tn the ghee and allow to splutter.

After splutter the spices, add ginger and garlic and fry for a minute. Add onion and fry onion till light golden.

Pure some water in the pan to smooth the onion.

Now add all spices and tomoto and fry them till tomoto melted and oil became seperate.

This is the time to add boiled bhee and pototo in the pan and fry the bhee and pototo till become fry and smooth.

The bhee recipe is ready to serve. You can serve to the guests hot with paratha or rice.
